Dear Patients,
Most of you like to keep first aid medicines in your homes. Painkillers for headaches and migraines, antacids for heartburns and stomach upset, medicines for when we have loose stools, etc.
Some of these medicines have stayed in your homes for years. And you don’t see anything wrong with it. Before you take them, please check the expiry dates.
Don’t just take precautions at the hospital or pharmacy alone. Check the expiry date of the medicines you have in your homes, and if you can’t see it. Discard it.
Make it a habit to check for the expiry date of the medicine you take. Especially the ones you keep at home.
Meanwhile, Bombastic side eye to those who store oral antibiotics as part of first aid medicines and use them without a prescription. 😒
