Category: My NYSC diary
My NYSC Diary is a daily compilation of stories from my time at the Ekiti orientation camp. The Federal Government of Nigeria decided to ship me off to Ekiti to “serve my fatherland” in the name of NYSC. Wahala for who dem no born abroad, honestly.
For context: the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a compulsory one-year program for all Nigerian graduates. It’s split into two parts- three weeks in a military-style camp (yes, sir!) and eleven months working wherever the government decides to post you.
This e-journal is your backstage pass to all the drama, joy, culture shocks, and unforgettable moments that come with NYSC life, raw and unfiltered. It’ll transport you straight into my khaki boots without you having to move an inch.
